I love parties! I love every little detail of a party from a formal invitation to an informal Harry Potter party to the perfect shade of pink for a vintage themed baby shower table cloth. I love taking an event and breaking it down to its most elementary level and putting it together into a perfect, cohesive package. For me, planning a party is like creating an escape from reality. Every detail must be perfect or the illusion is destroyed. With Designer Events, I get to make your escape a reality even if it's just for a few hours. Let me do all the work while you get all the accolades.

I have over 15 years of experience in party planning and event coordinating. I started way back when in college when I became a member of IFSEA (International Food Service Executives Association) while I was getting my Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management. I went on to teach in a college level culinary arts program and eventually opened The Elements Center for Yoga and Massage Therapy. More of a community center, we hosted amazing events such as live concerts, open mic nights, art & craft fairs, charity events, workshops and classes. Today, I get to design unique and fabulous parties of all sizes for all kinds of people.

Hmmm, where do I start? I guess by saying that I’m Traci’s mom ( which makes me very proud) and am also a craft nerd. At least I was a good many years ago before my teaching career (27 years as a special education teacher) took over and robbed me of my crafting time. I, however, have been a DIYer all my life. My husband also grew up as a DYIer and, I am proud to say, we instilled that can do attitude in our children as well. Our projects have ranged from fixing a broken hairdryer to reupholstering a sofa, to completely renovating our uniform stores -floor to ceiling. I have to say, we make a great team. We have always held the attitude, if someone else can do it, so can we, and we can do it better and cheaper.

Anyway, I am now retired from teaching which, happily gives me much more time to get back into the crafting I love as well as continuing my DIY projects. So much to do but lots more time to do it, YAY!
